I am a homeschooling mom in Ohio who works part-time out of the home in fine dining and does work part-time at home for Uptake.com (formerly Kango), a travel web site. I am also pursuing my graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology, all while my husband runs a small local business. So there is rarely a dull moment around here!
We love to travel when we get the chance, but tend to opt for shorter 2-3 day trips that we can take in our car. Now that we have a dog, we will most likely incorporate her into our trips when we can. Our menagerie includes many cats, too, but they are self-sufficient and have no interest in vacationing with us.
My son is 9 (going on 40) and enjoys fashion (he’s all about sport coats and ties now), his pets, boating, swimming, and computer/PSP/Playstation games. He also likes hanging out with the neighborhood kids at his Nana’s house, going on field trips with our local homeschool group, and spending as much time with his family as possible.
